Overall Road Map - Directions:
From Etna travel SW through the Klamath National Forest up to Etna Summit and down to the Salmon River region. Follow the North Fork of the Salmon River through the town of Sawyers Bar & then for another 3-miles prox.. This gold mining property is located on the North Fork of the Salmon River apprx. 28 miles SW of Etna at apprx. 2,800 ft. in elevation. There are no gas stations on the river so be sure to fill up beforehand. There are no other commercial establishments, ATMs, etc. Cellular service is spotty. Public phones (calling card or collect only) are available in Sawyers Bar & at the Forks of Salmon.
Please be aware that mining claims are federally protected. Anyone found prospecting a mining claim without express consent from the owner can be charged with criminal trespass and theft.
